Task 3: Coastal Adaptation Responses
We will examine the range of coastal protection practices that have been employed in Newfoundland, whether exclusively for archaeological sites or not, and carry out a retrospective study of their effectiveness and cost. We will also consider the appropriateness of site protection measures employed elsewhere in Canada for the Newfoundland coast (given local conditions; e.g., sea ice regime).
